Please dont ask , whos paying , as thats not the issue at hand.. Both FH & I are , but I dont want to diss respect my parenst nor his & exclude them from the invite..
I guess my question is how the heck do I word it . Do I put my moms name first or my dads ?
Mr Sal &*^^* & Ms Barbara *&*(( Request the honour ,, blah blah blah ,
or do I put
Ms Barbara *&&% & Mr Sal &&*()(

Re: Repost , Invite wording , divorced parents ??
Just my parents are divorced. If we had the space we would have put their names on different lines, but there wasn't enough room so we put
Maureen XXXX & James XXXX
I would think the women's names would go first.

My parents are divorced and I put my mom's name first. I also put them on seperate lines 'cause I read somewhere that using 'and' still implies that they are together...
Oh and you can avoid the whole thing by doing the 'together with their parents/families...'...not my personal fav but it works if your worried about being too wordy..HTH

Toni,
I feel the same way as you, we're paying for our wedding but we want our parents names on our invitation....whether they are paying or not does not negate the fact that we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them!!My parents are divorced and FH's are together and this is what we are doing:
Ms. my mother's full name & Mr. my father's full name and Mr. & Mrs. FH's parents name invite you to witness as their children
Bride and Groom

Weird, those are my parents names, too!
Our parents are both still married, but I've always seen it as above on invites when the parents are divorced.
I've also seen 'Together with our parents, BRIDE and GROOM...'
But that doesn't help if you want their names to go on it!
