Anyone who is a NCPD officer or whose DH/FH is, can you please tell me how long it may take to be called for the academy. MY FH just took the test yesterday and he is confindent that he did well and very anxious to start.
I told him it may take a year, but he doesn't think it is that long.

Years. FH has taken every test and scored exceptionally high both tests and has yet to get into the academy, and he's been doing it every year for the last 4 years. It's all based on lottery after the scores are in. Now, NYPD took him right away, but he doesn't want to work in the city.

It shouldn't take that long. A good friend of mine is the academy already. He took the test about a month or two before he got accepted in the academy. Good luck to him!

My FH said there is a waiting list. So he just took the NYPD gig! lol! He just started the academy last month!
