At first my mom was going to wear the traditional Korean dress throughout my whole wedding but now we decided that she should change into a dress for the reception. Yesterday we ventured out to Roosevelt Field Mall thinking we were going to find something but ZiPPo~! Couldn't find anything! We went to RK Bridal back in January when i got the call that my dress is in and that day my mom tried on some dresses and was told that it would take about 3-4 months to come in if we ordered it. It is now middle of April and my wedding is beginning of July meaning i only have about 2 months! Is there anywhere that i will be able to buy a really nice MOB dress 'off the rack'?? FYI: I live in Queens! Thanks girls~!

Try Estelles on Rte 110 in Farmingdale or Totally You in Wantagh on Merrick Road-there's always David's Bridal.

Honestly, try David's Bridal!!! My mom found hers there by a fluke - we just ventured in to kinda check it out, never thinking we'd find something. She ended up getting a pretty dress that brings a 3/4 sleeve length bolero and it fit her so well.
THere's a David's on Northern Boulevard in Astoria/Woodside area.
Also, try Macy's in the CITY (it has a huge evening dress section), then try Bloomies and Saks. I'm sure she'll find the perfect dress!

I would try Macy's, David's Bridal and there's also another place called Oh So Dressy. I was able to walk in there and get a dress with no problem and I'm not a small gal. They do proms to MOB's, so it's worth a shot. Call ahead if you like.
