Ok, this is what happened. My sister is driving from Park Slope to our house in Huntington, and her cell rings. It's the hair person calling to confirm her time for saturday. My sister says 'great, I was going to call you tomorrow to confirm'-the hair dresser then says 'I also want to go over my rates with you', and she then precedes to tell my sister that what she was originally charging us was too low, and she wants $25 more per bridesmaid, and $50 more for her and my mother. Which works out to a total of $250 more, than my sister wasn't prepared to pay. My sister told her she was being really unprofessional, and the hair dresser told her she didn't realize how far away Montauk was, and that if we didn't pay it, she wasn't coming. My sister offered her an additional $150, and she agreed to come. FYI-get everything in writing-it would have helped us out here.

ETA: my sister was paying for the hair and makeup as part of her gift, so this really screwed her over. The vendor is from Commack, so she knows where Montauk is. People amaze me.

Was this an LIW vendor???

I would like fm too, especially if she is located near Park Slope.

if not, can I ask why your sister didn't consider using a vendor in the area. that's where I live and I was considering looking in one of the salons there. TIA!
