repost...my HM disaster right before we are supposed to go!

I can't believe this! I got a phone call from Costco Travel last night. The overwater bungalow we were supposed to stay in in Bora Bora was destroyed by high tides (as far as I know no one was injured, people were evacuated on time, etc.) and now they are trying to find us another hotel but don't know if they will be able to!

I haven't been on a vacation for 2 years and my job is very high-stress! I need this vacation!!!!!

Just wanted to vent....

OMG!!!!!! What hotel was that? I hope they can find you another hotel- did you buy insurance? kepp us posted.

Thanks for the good vibes girls...the TA said something about possibly not being able to get a place in Bora Bora and switching to another island, but I don't want to do that! I really want to see Bora Bora and when the heck will I ever get to Tahiti again?

Still stressing out! So far they have offered us a place with an oceanview, but has no pool...and we would get $2K back which to me says that this place is a complete dump compared to where we were supposed to stay!

Jaime, click here for tripadvisor , check it for reviews on the hotel they are suggesting. You can also check for hotels in the area, maybe you will see one you like better?

I love tripadvisor! It has been my Bible while I am on the phone with the TA trying to figure something out!

There are definitely other hotels in Bora Bora to stay at. Everythign should be fine. If u have any trouble with Costco call mark from Hillsdale Travel. www.hillsdaletravel.com. He booked my honeymoon to Bora Bora next year. And he is great. Good Luck!
