so sorry to hear this- i cant imagine how you must feel - i have heard of this , being in the bridal industry, last year during hurricane irenee... 2 brides had to cancel their last minute bookings for hair and makeup due to the hall , westbury manor and some where in fireisland canceling. It is unforntuate but like somone said before me - noone will ever forget your wedding.. and at least it is happening 5 days before and not during.. Ill keep my finger crossed for you that the hall gets it together!

i know east wind is holding some weddings that were supposed to be at other venues that had damage, call them to see if they can fit you in!

OMG I'm so sorry sweetie...I can't even imagine! I say if the majority of guests are local...its probably best to reschedule...

unfortunately mother nature is not so kind...I'm so sorry again!

I'm so sorry! Fingers crossed! My sister is going through the same thing - her wedding was supposed to be Sunday Nov. 4th at Chateau Briand and she had to reschedule

Hopefully everything works out, we feel your pain!
But I agree, no one will ever forget your wedding! that's what I am telling my sister too.

I def think you will be fine! Most airports are closed anyway and it's in the terms as 'act of god' so they have to refund the tickets or let them change at no fee.

Btw what exactly is the condition of Bridgeview?!

I spoke with my rep there this morning and she said structurally they are fine, but they experienced cosmetic damage (Carpets, floors, paint, etc.). She said they were very lucky considering the area.

So Sorry to hear, I feel your pain, my cousin is in a similar situation, shes in FL and all of our family in NY can't make it to her wedding, so she is postponing hers also, but because we can't get out lol.

airlines are being understanding, but then again, every person that answers the phone is different (the policy changes with peoples mood)

but I'm sure your family will understand. it's not an ideal situation but i'm sure they don't want to be in the middle of this mess.
