my e-ring is too big we are getting it on Friday however, being that I am just now getting it, I honestly want to wear it home, I don't want to wait for it to be resized by Zales. Can I take it to another jeweler to resize or let Zales do the resizing and pick it up next week. I need a 4 3/4 and the standard size is a 7.

I had my ring resized right in front of me in just a few minutes (like maybe a half hour). I had it done at the jeweler where my FH purchased my ring - they sent us over to someone they work with next door that resizes and fixes jewelry. Maybe try that?

thank you so much, I wasn't sure this was possible, and that is what I prefer to have it resize right in front of me.

To resize from a 7 to a 4 3/4 is going to be IMPOSSIBLE to do without 'cracking ' the metal, and removing a piece and then melt it back together (without a seam showing) Most rings can be sized up or down 1/2 to 3/4 of a size without having to be 'cracked' but to go down 2 1/4 sizes is a LOT.
Also, depending on the setting of the ring it will have to be checked to make sure the stones aren't loose at all.
