Response Card Question...
What is the time frame for asking for a response for a wedding? The wedding is 5/25, I plan on sending out the invitations about 9 weeks before, because of the holiday weekend that the wedding falls on. When should I ask for the response? Thank you all!

Re: Response Card Question...
I made my response date 3 weeks before the wedding - you want to leave time for late answers, and following up with those you haven't heard from, if needed. It also depends on when your hall needs the final numbers.

I made it 1 month before our wedding. I sent mine out 9 weeks before our RSVP date too.

Re: Response Card Question...
Marnles, we are so on the same schedule. We are sending ours out at the end of this month as well for 12/15 wedding. We made our repsonse date 11/7 b/c the hotel requires to book 1 month before to get the blocked price.

Re: Response Card Question...
If I can give any advice here, earlier is ALWAYS better girls. I have a response date of today and I still haven't gotten all my responses back but I have some time before 10/13. This way you don't have to hound everyone on your due date, we are giving everyone about a week, and of course you get those late comers BUT if you have that extra time, it is always better.

Re: Response Card Question...
My wedding is Oct. 26 and my invitation lady suggested Sept 30th so that's what I put. She said not to put an Oct date (even early Oct) because then guests tend to think anytime in Oct is ok and they will trickle in throughout the month.I also heard putting too early is not too good either but I am yet to figure out the explanation. They say too early makes people forget about the event.
My invites have been out since Aug 22/23 and I have rec'd about 35% back so far.

I am also getting married that weekend (5/24). We are sending out invitations 10 weeks before (because of the holiday) and asking for the responses 1 month before.Welcome New Vendors
