Response cards question

Response cards question

Are you including a space for your guests to fill in the number of guests?

FH thinks we should leave this out. We are inviting some people w/out guests and he's afraid people will just fill in, let's say, 2 when we really invited 1. Currently my response cards say:

M_______________________

__Accepts with pleasure
__Declines with regret
__Number of guests attending.

Can I take out the number of guests attending?

TIA!

I'm just afraid if people don't write their name (because we all know this happens) and DO bring a guest. It might get messy.....

I am doing the # because I know that some ppl from family or friends may be coming with or without some family members.
For ex: I am inviting the entire family of some family friends (4 ppl total) but I know for sure they will come w/o their sons. this makes it easier on me.

i actually have the exact wording you have. i asked for the line of guests attending in case people think they can bring their family. they would write teh extra people and i would be able to contact them to tell them no, otherwise they may just show up.

Yeah but.maybe im wrong.....

When I have an invite mailed to just me or me and guest (before FH and I were engaged)...

I would write......

Ms Haroula A & Gianni L.......or guest, although I don't think I wrote + guest........

arent you supposed to write the persons name that you are bringing on teh line???

I guess I have been doing it wrong this whole time.

Is it rude to write in the number that you would like to attend. My friend did that and I was fine with it.

Yes, you are supposed to but not everyone does sometimes!!! Hence the need for invisible pens!!!!!! hahah

No, I dont think its rude...I guess you could say something like

__places are reserved for you (and fill in the number)

This is what I have on my RSVP
__ of 2
or
__ of 4

My reason was they couldn't go above the number we have assign them.

Yes, my family would make it a reunion on my day and add the world. Anyone who is single would get a guest, but no everyone is invite. I hope I am exampling it correctly.
