Response Care Issues

Response Care Issues

At first, I wanted to invite everyone with a guest- but now my number of invites keep going up. I am hoping to cut the list down a bit and invite some people I know who AREN'T in a relationship or in serious relationships to only bring themselves and NOT a guest. I started to think about my sisters wedding and how a family member brought a girlfriend so that she wouldnt go alone. It was almost like a waste of a seat- I dunno....

Anyway- I was wondering if any of you ladies specifically wrote something like 'reserved 1 seat for you' or something to that affect on your response cards. It sounds tacky to do, but after seeing what happened at my sisters wedding, it made me start to question things. Does anyone have examples of their response cards.

You don't have to put anything like that on the response card. Just adress the invite to that person..and that person only.. Common sense should tell them ,if it doesn't say 'and guest' then they aren't invited with a guest... if they do happen to respond with a guests name, i would explain to them that you cannot accomodate another person...

Yes, thats true- but you know how some people are.... you need to spell it out for them lol

good luck with that.
I was given the same advice that common sense is still alive these days and I needed to give my guests more credit- we had numerous issues... the best advice whatever you do is apparently make sure your 'friends' know if they are or are not invited with a guest prior to the invites going out.... I lost two friends during my wedding planning... both within a couple months of the wedding....

one was really offended because she didn't know flat out that she wasn't allowed to bring a date and sadly she went on this vent oh how she felt that she was being 'discriminated' against b/c she was single and yes she used that wording. It was a very dramatic process.

Good luck- stick to your decisions and just know that those that are important in your life and think you are significant in their life will be there no matter what.

We simply addressed the invites to the guests... and found out the names of those who were dating ...
