i think you send out the invites 8 weeks before, and ask for responses 4 weeks before. thats what im doing.

I sent out my invites 11 weeks before the wedding

RSVP date is May 21 and the wedding is June 12. I wanted it to be 4 weeks ahead, but FMIL never changed the date

Response date is 7/28
Wedding date is 8/28
my mom wanted 8/1 as the response date but I said that it was better to repeat the date number so there would be less confusion.
I hope to have them out by mid June.

I'm getting married on September 16th and my RSVP date is August 12th.

for my 9/18 wedding, we're using 8/1 as the rsvp date

I did mine 6 weeks. April 18th for a May 27 wedding.

we did 4 weeks, but I'd strongly recommend 6 weeks. give yourself a few weeks before you need to make your final payment.

Im sending them out at the end of July. But Im finalizing the wording on the invitations now.

I think Im going to send them out 10 weeks before the wedding with a 6 week prior rsvp date. Thanks for all the help ladies!!

Wow, I haven't even started looking at invitations yet. I better get moving.

You have plenty of time, Im just an early bird. I finally found an ivitation I like, so why wait to order? Plus since my invitation has such a funny envelope, they have to be done by hand calligraphy, so that might take some time to do.

WE put 6 weeks. That should be enough time to hound the stragglers...I hope!!!

I mailed mine out March 1st or so, rsvp date april 6th for my may 14th wedding
that gives them 5 wks.
