Response wording

I'm putting together my invite wording and I'm confused about the response card. So far we have:

The pleasure of your response is requested by Friday, October 1st, 2004.
M (insert name line thingy)
will attend
decline with regrets

My question is did any of you put 'number of guests attending?'

I did not. I figured they would write the names of the people who were attending on the line.


also, you do not need to write 1st if it is followed by 2004. just October 1, 2004

You could probably leave out 'Friday', and
how about

'the favour of your response is requested by
Oct 1, 2004'

I asked for # because I know from conversations with past brides that there are many people who will bring extras who were not invited and I wanted to be prepared to deal with that in advance.

ditto!

I didn't ask for the number of people attending. If I'm inviting 2 people then 2 people will respond. If more than 2 people show up then they'll sit outside because there won't be a place for them.
