RESPONSES

My response date is one week from today and we still haven't heard from 88 people......88 PEOPLE!!!!

Is this normal? Do most people respond close to the response date? I don't know how I'm going to be nice to these people when I finally have to call them.

Sorry to vent....

This is the cry of every bride waiting for RSVP's. A lot of people will mail them so you get them on the due date. Others won't mail them until the due date. Good Luck

I think we got a lot the few days after the rsvp date...some people mail it on the rsvp date...so it might take a few days

Join the club I dont' know how many more RSVP's we still have outstanding, but I know that we only have about 40 people coming to the wedding, and another 40 are no's. So another 120 people still have to send it their card before May 27th!!! I am upset too, but here is a

I think all the brides shoud make a pledge to be considerate when they recieve invites in the future and reply as soon as possible.

A couple days before the due date, I sent a reminder email to people. People are so inconsiderate sometimes - you send it out early hoping people will answer back sooner but they put it somewhere and forget about it. We had to follow up with a lot of people after the due date. Even some of my BMs didn't send back the response cards - I needed them to do that so I would know if they were bringing their boyfriends.

I agree alina! We are sending them out extra early b/c of all the holidays right before our wedding, and we are also pushing back the response date 2 weeks to what we originally agreed just in case someone forgets!

If alot can happen in a day,then alot more will happen in a week They will probably come all at once

we got a bunch in the beginning, then it slowed down, then lots at the end.

Of course there will always be the few people you have to call

I mean come on people. it is already stamped - just put it in the mail

It is common I think I had similar numbers. We got a lot of no's in the last week and a few even the week after the response date. And yes, believe it or not the rest we actually had to call/e-mail and track down the rest!

Wanna hear my list of excuses for why responses weren't sent back to me?

Here are the best:

'We had a small kitchen fire and the envelope melted'.

'I wasn't sure if I'd have something to do that night'
(How about go to a wedding a s s h o l e)

'I thought I mailed it but I just found it at the bottom of my purse!' (that was written on the back of the card and it had a lipstick stain on it).

I got a whole slew the first 2 weeks, then one here and there, then none for almost a week, and then about 20 the last week...

Just wanted to let you all know I am still stressing!!!

As of today...I am still waiting on 67 responses. They only have two days left since there is no mail on Monday.

I hate this!!! Sorry to vent!!!

I never expected this to be a hard part!

Sorry sweetie. I don't remember how many were out there for us but I know I had to start calling people after my response date. I don't know why people do that.

Its such a shame that we all go through this. And you'd think after sending a STD, that people would know whether or not they were coming!!!!

We were waiting on quite a few responses at the end also. But the worst is when you're waiting on someone who's just gotten married! These girls KNOW what you're going through ... you'd expect them to be the first ones in or at least before the due date.

I found though, that the later it got, the more likely the guest was to say no. But honestly, the least people could do is have the decency to tell you. We're not talking brain surgery, just put the card in the envelope & drop it in the mailbox. They don't even need a stamp!!!
