Me and FH have decided to take my mom to see the tree in the city since she hasn't seen it in the 40-something years she has been in this country! My dad has been away taking care of family problems so we thought it would be nice to get her out of the house. My sister will probably come too.
Does anyone know any restaurants with good food at a resonable price open on Sunday night that we should check out?? Preferably walking distance from the tree! TIA!

Re: Restaurant in the city?
La Bonne Soup is great - it's just a short walk from the tree. You could also try Vice Versa for Italian, Heartland Brewery for burgers, salads, sandwiches, Thalia is continental, good and reasonable, there is also Ted's Montana Grill.
Ted's and Heartland are across the street from Radio City.
Vice Versa and Thalia are a few blocks west, but an easy walk - 10 min.
la Bonne Soup is a few blocks north, again an easy walk...

there is an alberto's or alfredo's right by rock center - it's the same as the one in epcot in disney; haven't been, not sure how pricey it is.
if you want casual Connelley's has great irish/bar/burgers/type food - that's on 47th between 5th and Mad

Re: Restaurant rec in the city please!
Bobby flay has a restaurant there called 'bar american'
China Grill is 3 blocks away on 6th. It's family-style Chinese. Great desserts too.
And there's always Sea Grill in the basement of Rock Center, there's a couple of other places down there too.

Rock Centre Cafe is pretty good. The prices aren't terrible and it's on the same level as the skating rink.
