Anyone out there with a small guest list opting for an upscale restaurant?

My sister did a restaurant reception... i dont know if you can consider it upscale... but, we had the whole back of the restaurant to ourselves... it was immediate family and her god parents... i programmed my ipod to songs i know her and BIL loved and we had it playing in the background... it was a really nice day for her...

Yeah. Music is a big concern for us. The one restaurant we've seriously considered so far said they have a great sound system and we could bring an iPod or cds. It worked ok?

Re: Restaurant Reception?
My MOH, did the Peter Lugers in LI, she had about 30 guest but their was no dancing.
Domenicos in Manhattan offers music and they actually have an entire wedding package.
H on the harbor is a restaurant and they do weddings. It looks really cool and ny loungy chic in there too. They have a system hooked up where the music would sound good and i am sure you could hook an ipod up to it. Anyway there are dj's who rent an ipod system to hook up to for weddings too. Check out H on the harbor on here, they are a vendor.
Orrr....Blackwells Steakhouse in Riverhead. Really beautiful place, well manicured, and its a restaurant that does weddings.

Thanks for all the good ideas. Do you think no dancing is weird?
