there is a great german restaurant right across teh street from bam. a fun mexican restaurant a short walk away on flatbush and there are a bunch of trendy restaurants in teh area too
let me know if you will be driving or taking the train (if driving, there are some amazing restaurants not too far away and worth the short drive that i would recommend)

any type of food- its for my dad so he doesnt really like dives. he loves mexican (my stepmom not so much). they will be driving so they are down to go wherever.

Parking around there stinks, but there's a great restaurant (American cuisine) on 12 st and 8th ave and they validate parking at a nearby. It's called 12st. Bar and Grill. Google it to check out the menu,. Great hanger steak. Definitely not a dive. Nice restaurant, but not too expensive. I could recommend others but that's a good place to go with parents and they do validate the parking. Call for reservation though if its a weekend night.
