Re: Restaurant recommendations in South beach
South Beach has alot of NYC restaurants there like Nobu, Sushi Samba and Bond St but if you want to try some great restaurants that are local try: Nemo: Great Fish Tapas Y Tintos: Tapas If you want to venture out of South Beach for some authentic Cuban food go to Versaille World Resource Cafe on Lincoln Road for Sushi Ice Box for brunch Segafredo for amazing mojitos and light bites Prime 112 for amazing steak I think stone crab season is over but Joe's Stone Crab is amazing!

You have to try Yuka of Miami Beach. It's amazing! Big portions of gourmet style food.

I LOVE Nobu but I do want to try to go to Miami restaurants...do you know how far Little Havana is from South beach (driving or cab)? I would love to go to Versaille because I am Cuban and it is near impossible to get an authentic Cuban meal

I'm Cuban and I know what you mean...try going to Bongo's - Gloria's Estefan's restaurant. Great food and after 11 it's sort of a night club (mostly Salsa!).

Yes, I always try to get my NY friends to check out other restaurants rather than the NY based restaurants that opened up in Miami!!
I would say Versaille is at least a 20 minute drive from South Beach proper. A cab may be expensive but it's worth it for the DELICIOUS Ropa Vieja!
