Restaurant Suggestion??

Hi Everyone, Tomorrow night my fiance and I have plans with my cousin and her boyfriend to go to dinner. I plan on asking her then to be a bridesmaid in our wedding. They live in Brooklyn so we are trying to think of a restaurant that is half way between us (I live near Patchogue). Last time we went to the Melting Pot in Farmingdale which was good but now that we are saving for a wedding a little pricey. Can anyone recommend any good Italian restaurants in that area or the Massapequa area. Any suggestions would be great.

Cara Due M*I*A* in Seaford on Merrick Rd is FABULOUS (its barely 3 blocks down from teh seaford oyster bay)!!!!!!!!!!! Its in the same strip as the Seaord Movie theatre (parking in the rear) its really good food, i cant reccomend that enough...its italian food, everything on the menu is great

Hudson Mill, also on Merrick Rd but down further between the Massapequa/Amtiyville border. Its a steak/fish place, food is good no matter when you go (I reccomend the Tuna that they offer on their regular menu)

I am going to end up having my RD at either of these two places...

Cafe Toscano on Broadway in Massapequa is really good

Amici on Merrick Road in Massapequa - beware, it's family style

I still have yet to try (but really want to) Butera's on Sunrise Highway in Seaford

We like Pomodorino in Seaford on Merrick Road (I know it's a chain, but it's still yummy...) and Antonette's in Bellmore on Merrick Road...both are within 5 mins of our house, so maybe that's why I'm partial

the butera's in seaford is nothing like the one that used to be in Massapequa...it seems like it is more of a glorified pizza place now than a restuarant (just my opinion though) I walked in there once for dinner and walked right back out...parking over there is really hard too... (mind you this is all just my opinion)

Thanks, everyone. Two people at work and my future SIL recommended Cafe Toscano as well so we are going to try it out. I can't wait. So excited to ask my cousin to be a bridesmaid.

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for their suggestions. We ended up going to Cafe Toscano in Massapequa and the food and ambiance we're great. The night went really well and my cousin is so excited she will be a bridesmaid.
