Did you look into Bayville or Steamboat Landing in Glen Cove?

The Nautical Mile in Freeport is great, I grew up right by there! You can go to to a restaurant called 54 Woodcleft or Hudson and McCoy. There is another excellent place that I've been to a few times and I CAN'T THINK OF THE NAME!!!!!!!! It's fairly new and the first restaurant on the left side when driving down...ugh, sorry I cant be more helpful, but I'll remember as soon as I post probably!!!! HTH

Oh its not on the water but theres also a place in Amityville called the Bulldog Grille. I had my parents 25th anniversary party there. There was about 35 guests, no dancing, open bar and great food.

EB Elliott's is the place right on the left hand side on the water in Freeport.
Pine Island Grill in Bayville is on the water--beautiful sunsets too.
What about Paddy McGees or Coyote Grill in Island Park?

I love the Nautical Mile and drinking in the summer outside.

Wish it was Spring already... No Snow!

I think the Crescent Beach Club in Bayville has a waterview restaurant inside in addition to the catering portion.

There a restaurant in Port Washington called Louie's--it's on the water and the same restaurant they used in Meet the Parents.

How about Katie Daly's in Massapequa? (I know you said the North Shore, but I'm not really familiar with that area )
