my OOT guests are starting to call and ask for rec's for restaurants. any price range and preferably on the water. can any recommend something? I am not familiar with the Huntington area.

Mac's steahouse in Huntington - on 110 just north of 25A - expensive but good food and drinks
Cassis - next to movie theatre on wall st - block and half north of 25A - french bistro - great food smaller restaurant (a favorite of Billy joels - my moms sees him there often)
Mill Pond - Centerport -on the harbor- next to thatched cottage - good food - relatively new owners who own other good reataurants in huntington 437E Main st

Blue hanu - on 100 south of 25A - hawaian fusion food- really good and great bar to hang out after- can be abit loud though

105 Harbor, definitely. Its expensive, but really great. FH and went there to celebrate our engagement.

Pancho Villa's - reasonable Mexican
Theres'a On Main - Reasonable Italian
Meeghan's - Pub style food and American Cuisine
Rockfish (Finley's) - Seafood
Able Conklins- Steak House
Jonahan's - Steak House
JD's - pub style food
Off the Wall - Infusion
Tell them to walk around Huntington, they will find a lot.

I agree with the others about Blue Honu. Its fantastic. Mac's Steakhouse is also getting alot of good reviews, though I haven't been there yet.

105 Harbor is exceptional and on the water...
The Mill Pond is in Centerport, also fabulous....
Piccolo's is my favorite.. that's in Huntington... Southdown really... it's not on the water, but believe me you won't be disappointed...
I was just at 105 Harbor two weeks ago... great food...
