Restaurants as venue for intimate wedding - Nassau County
We are definitely not your typical couple and are not looking for the typical wedding venue. I am a 60 year old widow. He is a twice divorced 58 year old. But it is my first wedding and I would like it to be special, without looking like an old lady with delusions of being a blushing, young bride. I certainly don't want, nor can I afford, a wedding factory. I was hoping to find a beautiful, elegant restaurant that would close for the day to host a wedding of about 80-100 guests. The ceremony will be at my church in Hempstead, in 9/2011. Thanks so much for any suggestions for restaurants or other appropriate venues.

I am looking for the same thing. A restaurant for 80-100 to have an elegant sit down non cookie cutter wedding. I would like a night time dinner, on a Saturday. If I come across any place I will let you know and please do the same if you find something. Oh and CONGRATULATIONS!!

Try Giardinos in Douglaston - its owned by russos on the bay and the food is fabulous!

how much are you looking to spend? i know ariana waterfall has wedding packages that include EVERYTHING for minimum prices. The location is not the best but they are in hempstead....also, i think they post the prices online? not sure....
