what kind of food do you want? italian, greek, other?
for italian, there is piccola venezia, ponticello, and tratoria l'incontro.
for greek there is galini's, kykladis(sp?), christo's steakhouse...

Depending on what your budget is Renaissance is a beautiful place.

I moved out to LI to be with my honey after 10 years in Astoria-
718 is beautiful, with amazing food. It is on Ditmars Ave and 34th Street. We always went there for special occasions. Also, in Long Island City there is Jackson Avenue Steakhouse, it is fantastic and they have a party room. Also, try the Crab House, it is a fun place, and they usually have live music.

Bartolinos!!!! Very nice italian restuarant they have a nice party room int he back to accomd. larger parties. Food is great too!
