Hi everyone, my 30th B-day is coming up and I'm looking to do something nice with friends.. nothing too $$ or crazy. Preferably a nice place for dinner that maybe has music or a DJ or something as it gets later? I don't care where in NYC.

I can come up with a few ideas but I went to a friend's birthday at Los Feliz on Ludlow on Lower East Side a few weeks ago---we had dinner reserv around 9:30 or 10pm, there was good music playing throughout dinner, and by the time we were finished eating the tables were pushed away and it became a pretty cool lounge/club with dancing. The sangria was great!

I went to Pranna for a friend's 30th bday and the cocktails were yummy! ... music and dancing started around 10, i think ...

I am also looking for exactly the same thing. A place that would cater to a party of about 25-30 people..and then becomes a lounge..

I second Cavo or if the place is still open Island in Astoria is really good as well.
