Are there any in Nassau that don't have price fixed menus and still have room for reservations?

I don't have any specific suggestions (I live in White Plains) but DH and I found ourselves in this situation 2 years ago. Most of the nicer American/Italian restaurants will do a prix fix type of thing, but we found that many ethnic restaurants didn't. I think we wound up going to a Brazillian Steakhouse and my sister and her then-boyfriend went to a Mexican restaurant. Just something to look into.

good luck my friends family has been looking to get reservations everything was booked they finally got one somewhere and it was for 5:00 the only time available.

I went to EL Mariachi in RVC a few years ago and had a blast. My sis went to Benvenuti in Lynbrook last year and had a lot of fun, dancing. I don't think either place has a set menu.
