Restaurants with private catering room for small wedding

Hi Everyone,

I'm recently engaged (about a month). I still catch myself glancing at my ring.

We are looking at a date in 2015. I just put June 14 because we had initially thought of it since it is day we met and he suggested that date too.

Anyone done a wedding at a restaurant with a private catering room? Or maybe they let you have the whole restaurant for a Sunday afternoon wedding? Or if someone had a rehearsal dinner in a restaurant that could cater to 60-70 people? We are big BIG foodies and delicious food is probably the most important aspect for us.

We are looking to invite about 60-70 people, looking to pay about $60-70 pp. We've looked at a couple of places (Restaurant Mario has a private catering area downstairs, Gemelli's lets you have the whole restaurant), but I am always looking for options.

Any suggestions would be helpful :)

I've heard that Teller's in Islip will host private parties before the restaurant is open. The decor is beautiful and the food is amazing! I'm not sure of the price but I think I remember it being pretty reasonable for Tellers! Good luck and congrats!

Millerage inn in.Jericho has small private rooms, snapper inn in oakdale has small private rooms

I don't know about many venues, but my venue Smithtown Landing Country Club has 2 smaller rooms that can be used. We are using one of the smaller rooms for our cocktail hour. Both rooms have an outside area which is really nice.

I saw some other people suggest Snapper Inn. It seems like a nice place from the pictures. I will put it on my list.

I really LOVE the rustic look (wood floors, exposed ceilings, wood beams) and it seems so hard to find a good place with that look without going crazy over budget.

I also hope that the places we do go to that have smaller rooms don't treat us like second class because we're having a small wedding. Is that a reasonable concern?

Captain bills in bay shore, Irish coffee pub in east islip, shandon court in east islip...they all have smaller rooms

I think Irish Coffee Pub in East Islip will definitely fit the look you're looking for and they definitely wouldn't treat you as 'second class citizens' they do small parties and small weddings all the time. Definitely give them a call!
