It's my mom's birthday and she's having trouble picking a restaurant to go to tonight. I'm looking for a place in eastern queens or nassau that isn't crazy expensive. I told her you girls can help! TIA

Re: restuarant help...
is there any type if restaurant you are looking for?
here are some suggestions though.
Trattoria L'incontro- astoria(italian) and EXCELLENT
718(astoria) spaniard and french fusion...trendy but small and cozy place and amazing food, very different
The crabhouse, on the water in LIC-has been around forever, casual relaxed place, cool old skool decor and AMAZING seafood, ahhh sooo good.
Mardi gras ON Austin street(creole) it can be a little spicy so def take this into consideration.
I would suggest cabana but they dont take reservations and the wait is always long, so if you dont mind waiting.
Long island
Don Juans-old country road, it is mexican food and pretty good and good atmosphere
Then theres places like the lux cafe, cheesecake factory, PF changs, but they can get hectic.
Benihana's
Or how about Jonathon's on Jericho turnpike, in new hyde park, its supposed to be good.
