Does anyone know of a good restuarant in Nassau (preferrably north of the LIE) where you can go for a quiet lunch? I am looking for a place where you can actually sit and talk privately and not have to shout to be heard.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I dont know about north of teh lie but did u ever try Cafe Baci on old country road for lunch its usually not crowded. Very reasdonable and good food

What about Friend of a Farmer. It moved from Roslyn but is somewhere on the north shore.

Friend of a farmer is now in locust valley (not far from train station)

it is not north of the LIE - but the Orchid if you want chinese food is excellent for a quiet nice lunch, franklin Ave Garden city

Wendy - how about Buteras in Woodbury? Also, DH and I went to 105 Harbor a few weeks ago and it was great. That's on 25A in Cold Spring Harbor. Not sure if they do lunch, but I assume they would.
