restuarant/Reception Hall for about 50pp

I am so glad to have found this site.
My fiance and I are in the preliminary stage of the wedding plans. We know that we want an event for 50 people. However, perphaps you all can make suggestions of really nice places for that amount of people that is affordable in the Queens or NYC area. We are flexible in terms of day (Fri-Sun) and set up (brunch, dinner, cocktails) and would like to get the most out of a tight budget. We haven't started going to places yet, and we really don't want to waste too much time since we would like to get married sometime between Feb-Mar 2006 (if its possible). Any suggestions you'd like to share of your own experiences would be great.

Hi! I would check out Swan Club in Roslyn Harbor. I was quoted a price of $55pp for Sunday in March. Giorgio's will do smaller weddings as will Watermill. I'm still visiting places so if I get quotes in that range, I'll let you know. Good luck!

About $50-55pp. Also interested in a place that provides the table arrangements (flowers or candles) as part of the deal (if such thing exits).

Geoge Washington MAnor would be perfect/ they provide flowers and menus and candles

I know Tallgrass Country Club is beautiful great view and they also do smaller weddings, we went there about 4 months ago and my friend got it for $48pp food was scrumptious.

They are in Nassau Cty, but both Milleridge Inn (the inn itself, not the carriage house or cottage) and maine maid inn do small weddings, and are around that price range I believe.

the coral house might be your price range.. they include centerpieces too i believe

Stewart Manor Country club was in that range, I think, but I can't remember the minimum for # of people. And they do provide decorations and the cake as well.
