Rethinking makeup/hair contract

Rethinking makeup/hair contract

I'm starting to rethink signing my hair/makeup contract. I did like HER but I think I might be paying too much money. I was really excited at first to booker her, but now I am having my doubts since I see a lot of you brides are paying a heck a lot less.
My pics from her are in my album.
Can anyone refer someone else? Maybe I'll do another trial with someone else, and go from there.
So conflicted right now!

I agree! You don't want to have any doubts, so go for another trial!

Where you happy with her? I ask as you don't look very happy in the pics in your album...Rather serious and not smiling.. If you aren't happy, I would have another round...You looked lovely though...

definately go for another trial. You have to be confident in her and your look for the day. I was having nightmares about looking like a clown on my wedding day until I had another trial and was absolutely happy with everything. Then I slept like a baby.

My original makeup person I was very unhappy and cancelled. Lost $20 but now I am much happier and more comfortable with the new person!

LOL. I was extremely nervous. I don't wear makeup at all, and I did not see what I looked like until after everything was done.

I'd say if you are unhappy go for another trial. I can only vouche for Sandra Baldini because I only did a trial with her and I booked on the spot. She got exactly what I was going for (pics of trial in album). And I feel she is extremely reasonable in price for both the bride and BMs/MOB/MOG. And she is such a sweetheart on top of it!

Sorry I can't help you with hair - I still don't have someone.

I'd say go for another trial! I agree, you don't look very pleased in those pics, though I think your make-up and hair look GORGEOUS!

Check out Stacy Doolan of About Face Artistry and Sandra Baldini, both are very reasonably priced, will travel, and do amazing work!

KarynK can I ask how much you're paying and what you think average is? I'm just starting to look into hair and makeup now, thanks!

i would go for another trial! you don't look happy at all in those pics, and imo she didn't use the right colors on your eyes to go with your complexion, etc.

try khouloud's beauty for both hair and makeup, or andrea from lola loves makeup for just makeup!

Re: Rethinking makeup/hair contract

I told her I wanted 'natural' because I never wear makeup and I dont want to look like someone else. But looking at the pics, my forehead looks orange, I don't know if that is from lighting or her makeup.
Will def. book a trial with someone else.

if you are having doubts go for another trial.

I am booked with the same person as you. Being satisfied is worth it all in the end as opposed to loosing the $75 deposit that you gave her upon booking. You look pretty though :) If you don't really wear lot of makeup, then don't go crazy spending so much on it. check out my trial with her in my album. I did lashes and airbrush because I am a little more dramatic when it comes to makeup, but I also felt very natural as well. My e-pics are with her makeup
I am extremely happy with her, but everyone has their own sense of style

good luck with what you decide

Oh yea P.S. try Kelly from Glam me up! She is a doll
