I bought a dress that I really loved, and now I don't know if I want it anymore. Ok, granted it wasn't that expensive (only $300 - and it fits perfectly - no alterations necessary!!) but I all these other girls dresses and now I think it's too casual. It's floor length but doesn't drag at all (I should have a picture by this weekend) and it's lightweight and a halter top which should be comfy for an august wedding, but I just feel frustrated now like I should have something bigger or better or whatever. Did anyone else go through this?

Re: rethinking my dress
I rethink my dress on a daily basis, and I paid a lot more for it so I can't change it! I'm hoping when it comes in I'll fall in love with it all over again. No matter what, with all these pretty dresses out there, you are bound to see one you like better than the one you picked. Go with your gut.

Re: rethinking my dress
I had second thoughts a few weeks ago. I looked at that thread where everyone put pics of their dresses, and I found one I loved, even though I have my dress already.
I found it at Macy*s and tried it on. It was double the price of mine. When I had it on, I realized it was similar to mine, and that by loving it, I just realized that I still loved my dress. So I gave it back and came home.
Second thoughts are common. Remember that you chose the dress you chose for a reason!! Try to remember why you loved it to begin with, and don't concern yourself with what other brides are wearing. Each wedding is different, and you need to have your wedding the way you want it.

Re: rethinking my dress
I go through this daily. BUT, everytime I go for a fitting and try it on, the feelings go away. Keep trying it on. $300...!!! That's awesome!

Re: rethinking my dress
Yes, I have rethought my dress. I am getting married on the beach so I chose simple, but now I wish I went even more simple. I saw this sweet white dress in the window at Ann Taylor Loft the other day and was like, 'Darn! I totally could have worn that!' But my dress is already paid for ($525 and no alterations either) and I do love it. I just wish I hadn't rushed the process (I bought it the very first time I was out looking!)
