does anyone use retin a for acne issues? i had a break out last month.. similiar to what i had in middle school. it was horrible.. HORRIBLE!! i now know the cause but let me tell u i was stressed and scared and that of course only made it worse..
anyhoo.. my mom slipped me some of my brothers' retin a.. that he use in high school last year.. lol. and that has helped clear it up.. but i read online that if u use retin a u shouldn't do eyebrow waxes as there could be adverse affects.. anyone ever hear this? anyone use retin a and still get eyebrow waxing done? i haven't gotten my eyebrows waxed in so long.. i feel like bert from sesame street..

Re: retin A and waxing...
I use Retin A Micro. But it causes redness, burns my skin and dries it out. I only use one a week or so

well with retin a micro it burned my skin badly so i had to stop using it. Normally they do advise against waxing when using such products...if you do go definitely let them know first that you use retin a, and they'll tell you whether they'll do it or not...some will do it regardless but your skin is alot more sensitive now with the retin so just be careful

I was on Retin-A for a long time years ago and, if I remember correctly, they tell you not to wax because your skin becomes very sensitive on the cream. Also, stay out of the sun because you can get sun-induced 'tumors'. This is what I was told at the time. Maybe they changed the formula since then (hope so!).

Re: retin A and waxing...
I honestly would not take a chance with waxing if you're using retin-A. The retin-A can make your skin thinner, and then the wax could actually take not just the hair, but the skin off with it. Ouch!

I think you should skip on the waxing. Some dr. say it will burn your skin right off if you are really sensitive. try threading.
