Retiring E-ring

Retiring E-ring

I just ordered my wedding band and it's a different style than my e-ring. Basically it doesn't match my setting. The reason I got what I got is because I'm not planning on wearing my e-ring everyday after the wedding except for special occasions, and I have felt like my e-ring gets in the way, but I wanted some kind of Bling Bling! LOL!! Is anyone else not going to wear their e-ring as much after they get married?

I am planning to wear mine, but its a low setting for that purpose. It almost never catches on anything. Can you perhaps have the setting lowered?

My setting is low but not too low. I'm just not comfortable wearing something that protrudes from my finger. And I always have to be so darn careful because I forgot it once in the ladie's bathroom at work, left work and then realized I left it on the counter a few blocks later. Thank God it was still there when I got back.

My e-ring and my wedding badn, don't match, at least I don't think so other than they both have baguettes and round diamonds, but I do plan on wearing them both. my e-ring will be on my right hand and my wedding band on my left.

I never pass up the opportunity on wearing diamonds! lol

My bands do not match either.. my e-ring is platinum with channel set round diamonds with the main round diamond bridged above the channel set diamonds.. my wedding band is a platinum band with fishtail set diamonds from 1951- it was my Grandma's.

i wear them together I don't care.

I got an insert for my wedding band so my engagement ring slips right in the middle.
I love it.

Re: Retiring E-ring

I initially intended on a simple diamond eternity band towear with my e-ring...but after trying some on, I didn't like they way the band sit. My e-ring - while I have a RB - is a square setting so the band doesn't sit flush.

Instead I think I will just find a band that I love - in the Art Nouveau / Art Deco style (which matches my e-ring)....and wear the e-ring on my right hand.

Like Marcella, I *never* pass up an opportunity to wear diamonds!

If I decide to get the matching band to my e-ring, I'll still wear them both. I love my e-ring but the side stones come loose a lot so I think I might get a different wedding band instead and possibly wear my e-ring on the other hand or only on special occasions. Not sure yet.

I will always wear my e-ring. I had my wedding band custom made to fit e-ring

Re: Retiring E-ring

I am definately wearing my e-ring. I wanted it so bad that I want to wear it.

I got a wedding band to match my e-ring exactly but I am also wearing me grandmother's fishtail wedding ring (on my right hand) - JUST LIKE YOU SASSY!

So I will have 2 rings. I am not a jewelry person but I just love diamond rings.

my rings don't wear well together, and I prefer them apart. I wear my e-ring on my right hand, but I almost always still wear it.

I got my wb custom made to match mye-ring. Also, if I didn'twear the e-ring after we got married my FH would be very mad.

Re: Retiring E-ring

My wedding band and e-ring came as a set. The e-ring inserts into the band to make the final ring, so I kind of have no choice. But it does get annoying sometimes! I wash mey hans at 30 times a night at work, and it's always slipping off! (I already had it sized 2 times) I'm hoping with the other piece on it won't slide around as much.
