Return Address/RSVP question

Return Address/RSVP question

I'm trying to figure out the return address for my invitations and the address to put on the response cards.

My parents are paying for most of the wedding (probably around 80-90%). The invite starts with the parents of _____ request the honor of your presence .....

I feel like the invite should then be addressed from my parents. But, I live with FH about 45 minutes away from my parents and I would like to get the RSVP cards to my house.

Should I do two separate addresses - one for the return address and one for the RSVP cards?

Thanks for any input!

the invitation itself would say that your parents are inviting them ... but i think both envelopes would say your name and address.

i could be wrong though ... but that's what i'm doing anyway

The return address should be to wherever you want to get returned invitations so you can correct them and resend them out again FAST. It does not matter who the invitation is from.

The RSVP cards should go to whatever address you want to receive them at to keep track.

If you really want your parents name on them for some reason, you can put their names (Mr. and Mrs. You) and your address on it. But it sounds like you should just have it all sent back to your address.

I put the return address on our invites as where DH lived since I was moving there after the wedding, but the RSVP address as my address so I could keep track of the responses.

The person paying for the wedding only goes into consideration of the wording of the invitation, not the return address.
