Just wondering if there are any stores that allow you to return your registry items for Cash? I know Crate and Barrel USED to do this-wondering about any that stil do...

I hear ya! I need cash $$ too!! lol can you call BBB or whereever and ask them their return policy??? What about the items you have gift reciepts for??

I pretty sure BB&B still does though I could have sworn I heard a rumor that they are going to stop doing that (I could be wrong)

BBB does return registry gifts for cash.
Though they say they don't. When I went to return something he told me I'd get store credit, I didn't argue, all I said was 'the woman who registered with told me gifts could be returned for cash.' He asked where I had registered and it had been that particular BBB so he gave me the !

I really don't want to register for plates & glassware-but i would if it meant i could return it and get the cash to pay for some vendors! I'll still send very nice thank you cards for the gifts!

when i had my house warming, i got alot of doubles, what ever was purchased with cash/debit card-they gave me cash back, but not for things purchased with a CC..
I also heard the rumor, that u couldnt do that anymore at BBB

i heard BBB was still doing it as long as the items were on your registry. if they arent then you get store credit.
so the trick is to make sure that even if you get something that you didnt register for to make sure you add it to your registry before you try to return it.
