returns at bed bath beyond?

I had my second wedding shower this weekend and at my shower one of my grandma's friends bought me some stuff that was on my registry combined with some stuff that was not and some stuff that once was on my registry but i decided i no longer needed. Somehow she didn't have them scan my registry so there ended up being a few duplicates.

Am I able to just go to BBB and return these things? Should i put the stuff that she bought that wasn't on my registry onto my registry, will that make it easier to return it?? I am fine with getting store credit for these items and not the cash back like people talk about.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anything that is not on your registry - you will get store credit for (so I would add them to the registry for now).

Anything on your registry that you return - you will get cash back for!

So if you get something that you didnt register for and want to return it.... if you simply add it to your registry and bring the item in they will give you cash?? even though the person didnt buy it off your registry?

I believe it has to show it's been purchased from your registry. If they purchased something there that you didn't register for, it still shows up (even if it was something like a halloween decoration that you would assume is for themselves).

I haven't had my shower yet but, I noticed I have 2 tea kettles and 3 dustbusters when I look at my registry so I'm sure I'll be returning!

Well this little old lady did not have the items taken from my registry so store credit it is... i do not mind though since there is stuff I plan on buying there
