Rev Susan Marlan
What is your opinion of her? What were her rates? would you recommend her for a non religious ceremony? We plan to focus more on the union and our love....

Wouldn't hire her. If I wanted someone for a 'non-religious' service, her title wouldn't be rev., min, sister, etc.

what I am doing
We are asking my FIs uncle to perform the ceremony...NYS will 'certify' someone for the day. I don't want a religious ceremony and I want the officient to know us. But I think most of the officients (rev. or not) will perform non-religious ceremonies.

what I am doing
Rev. Susan Marlan married us last year in civil ceremony and will be performing our ceremony at our wedding this year. She can do most ceremonies and will work with you to accomlpish the type of ceremony you would like. She's a bit pricey, but to me I feel she's worth it. My brother-in-law was so impressed w/ her, that he used her as well for his wedding last year.

Me and my Fi did not have a great experience with her. We're using Diane Kraus who is sweet, and will tailor our ceremony to include love and romance, rather than religion.

I will be using Rev. Susan Marlan for my July 7 wedding. FI and I loved her personality, style and professionalism. I think she will perform a beautiful ceremony. She is a bit pricey though... Good Luck

$450 which includes one hour of travel. If travel exceeds one hour, she will tack on an additional fee. Yikes...
