Re:Variety DJ's

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Variety DJ's...they seem to be pretty reasonable as far as price goes. Is anyone using them or has anyone been to an affair where they have DJ'd. I am looking for a DJ that will get everyone on the dance floor and play music that my fiance and I want.
Thanks,

Re:Variety DJ's

I went to see them on sunday.I am actually leaning towards booking them. I have an appt. tonite with one more DJ and then I was going to see Variety at a showcase this weekend before I make my final decision. I really like there attitude. They seemed to have it together. I was happy with there prices. They also said that I would get a discount because it's not the busiest time of the year for them (NOV). If you want to know about there showcase let me know (I have the schedule)
You can prob go to any Town Clerk's office.Just make sure that they issue ML's.

Allison,

We looked at Variety DJ among a few others. Eventhough we didn't book them, we liked them alot. We found Variety at an expo at the Huntington Hilton. There we spoke with Harry and found him to be a very outgoing, energetic person. He was great! Had we booked with Variety, he would have been the MC of our choice.

Re:Variety DJ's(Kel)

We chose to go with Parameters because Eddie has a great resume, including spinning for Al Bandiro (of Hot 97), spinning at LI Exchange and many other hot nite spots. His demo tape was great and he has a tremendous sense of the music, telling us what songs on our list will work at getting people on the dance floor and what might chase them off.

He doesn't have a website. We found his prices to be reasonable, though a little more expensive than Variety. A few things to keep in mind...Eddie prefers to work alone. He's light on the MCing and insists he avoids all the 'cookie-cutter' things other DJs do. He lets the music run the party. He doesn't really have set packages, instead he works with you based on your needs than gives you a price.
