Reverend Nick?

I would like to meet with him before booking him for my wedding at the Fox Hollow. I emailed him and he said it's all done via phone. Some girls on here have said they met with them, and some say they have gotten the same response. I am not really comfortable booking an officiant whom I haven't met ... I mean, what if we just don't connect? It's the most important part of the day ... I want to make sure I am comfortable with this man. FH doesn't want to meet anyone so he'll be very happy when I tell him he does it all via email.

Anyone using him or have used him? Anyone hear the same thing? How would you feel about not meeting your officiant til the morning of your wedding???

I used Reverend Nick at my wedding and I LOVED him. We spoke with him three times over the phone before our wedding. After the first conversation we booked him. The second time was a weeks before (I wanted to confirm) and the last time was the week of. The ceremony was a very nice and classic civil ceremony. It was light hearted and FAST, just as we wanted it.
At first I was a little nervous about not meeting him and he did offer us the chance to meet with him on a Wednesday evening, but it just didn't work in our schedule. Honestly, it wasn't a problem. From our phone conversations, I was totally comfortable that he would do a great job and he came through.

That is exactly what FH wants - fast and lighthearted. I want a little more personal stuff, but nothing mushy ... I just am not so comfortable not meeting him. Sometimes people give off an aire about them, you know ... I guess I will see what he says about meeting him. Thanks, though - I did hear he was great.

I actually met rev. nick at his house before booking him....are you sure there is no possible way to meet him beforehand?
by the way, he seems great!

we met with him beforehand! no problems at all.. he was happy to meet us!

and we LOVED him!!

Hmm. The majority of people say they met him! I posted on the 08 board too. Why would he tell me that? I will have to email him and ask again, I guess. If he says no - I'm on to someone else I guess. Just not acceptable to me.

Hey can you give me his e-mail? I asked this on your other post on the 08 boards but if you end up booking him do you think he would come back later that night for my wedding? I mean the ceremony isn't that long, so I think he should be able to as long as he doesn't have any other committments right? I have heard such great things about him and wanted to use him too!
