Revies and pics from my 12/28 wedding
Hi everyone. Just wanted to share the details. We had the most perfect wedding. I couldn't have imagined how beautiful it really was.
Reviews:
Rehearsal dinner- Pappa Razzi on Jericho Tpke. in Carle Place. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional.
Hair- Diana (516)681-4609 She did 6 of my 8 bridal party attendents, including my flower girl. She is so nice and even made special crystal accents to insert into my hair. Everyone looked beautiful.
Makeup- Jacqueline Nicole. She knows makeup. People who originally said did not want to have their makeup done changed their minds after seeing how we were turning out. Everyone looked flawless and the makup stayed all night. I even got a free lip liner, lipstick, and gloss for bringing her so many girls. She was so wonderful. My friend booked her immidiately for her June wedding.
Church- St. John's Lutheran in Williston Park. I ahve never seen a more beautifully decorated church in my dreams. It was a fairy tale. The pastor is a young, wonderful person, very down to earth.
Reception- The Watermill. Everything from food to service was breathtaking. Out MatreD(Tom) waited on us hand and foot. My drink never got to half full before I had a new one in hand. My bridal attendent(Lori) was so friendly and calming. Always on the ball. This hall knows how to plan a wedding. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend them.
Limo- Royalty Limo. Our driver was very professional and caring. Not sure if he was a little fake---he started crying as I was waiting to enter the church. My dress did get a little grease on it. Don't think it could have been avoided. The explorer limo was immaculate inside and out. We also used 2 of their shuttle vans for out of towners. The drivers I heard were very nice and professional. No problems.
DJ- Starlight Express. Fabulous!!!! I can't recommend them enough. Vinny was our MC, Demetrius our DJ, and we had a percussionist and saxophonist who played with the DJ the entire night. People are still raving. At the start of the night Vinny came to us and said that he was trying to play our song list, but the vibe seemed to mellow and wanted our permission to try different songs. Well- they know how to start a party. They shok up the room, played great music, and had even the 80 year olds up and dancing. The greatest company to work with.
Video- Daniel Krieger in Mount Sinai. I haven't seen the video, but they came highly reccommended. A pleasure to work with.
Last, but not least....

If you want to see about 100 of our 800 pics go to www.fotoverdi.com, skip intro, go to 'recent weddings' and click our names JACKIE AND ALEX WENZEL. The pics remain on the web for 6 months after the wedding. They came out magnificent. Our proofs are all in (it has only been 3 weeks)and we made an appointment to see them. They are a husband and wife team, Rich and Mindy. You get 2 photographers for the price of one. Very artistic, photojournilistic, and you still get the few posed family pics you need. We opted to have 50% black&white and 50% color. They allow you to pick whatever split you want. So wonderful, friendly, and fun people. Our engagement pics came out beautiful as well.
Honeymoon- Mariann at Quality Travel in Woodbury. Absolutely phenonmenal trip. We went to Mauii, Kauai, and Oahu. The most perfect honeymoon. Marianne helped for 10 months to plan it. She was so concientious. Not any problems. We had a surpise waiting for us in each island. We even extednded our trip by 2 days. If you need details let me know.
Sorry it is so long, but I had so many good things to tell about. Good luck with all of your plans. Let me know if I can help at all. I will miss planning I think.
