Review East Wind

Went to a wedding last night at East Wind, the Estate. My DH was in the wedding party. It is really beautiful there! I didn't have any cocktail hour food( I had eaten at home before, the baby waits for no one ) but my DH said it was very ,very good! Tommy Tunes was the DJ and they were great! I had the prime rib and my DH had chicken waapoo(sp?) Both were delish!!! The only thing I didn't like was the penne ala vodka not the best sauce. The service was good. My only suggestion is that the tables don't have #'s and someone was supposed to escort you to your table after you told them your name. No one escorted me and another GM's fiance to our table and we kept going is this the right table?, is this the right table? So I would just reiterate that you want someone to escort EVERY person to their table!!!

Edited to say: A lot of people stayed overnight at the Inn and they said it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Re: Review East Wind

Thanks for the review. I was planning to have candleholder placecards and have guests escorted, but now I'm more convinced that a simple placecard with the guest's name and table number should be available otherwise it could be chaos with over 200 people around trying to find tables.
Also, East Wind brides who are planning to stay at the Inn better book early! I went to EW today to go over more details and book a couple of rooms at the Inn the night before the wedding and we found out that all 50 rooms are booked the night before my wedding!!!! I was very disappointed because I wanted to have my pre-wedding prep videos and photos done in one of the suites. I just can't believe they can be fully booked six months beforemy wedding when each room cost 300 to over 600 bucks for a suite! The rooms ARE beautiful and elegant though so I guess they are worth it....
Well, we're first on the waiting list...so if anyone of you EW brides booked rooms that you won't need on Sept 27th, please FM me. I also found out that if you don't cancel in at least 7 days prior, you will be charged the full amount of the room!!! If that's the 600 dollar suite, that;'s a lot of money!!!
Sorry, girls of I'm babbling on and on about it...I'm just a bit stressed since I have to come up with a new game plan.
