~*~Review from Swan Club Wedding~*~
OK So I just want to start off saying it was a beautiful wedding. The bride decorated so nice and her flowers were just amazing! She had a brown and burnt orange theme and it was so pretty and the bride looked amazing! When I can upload the pics I will post.
The cocktail hour had a lot of choices and the ones I had were really good. The pasta station had great Penne A La Vodka, the passed Hors d'Oeuvres I had were also very good. They had a huge seafood bar which I hear was good but I dont touch that stuff lol.
But I was dissapointed with the service at the reception. I know many of you have booked there but maybe it was just an off night because it happens. Our waitress barely spoke Enligh and didnt know the choices for dinner. She showed us a card for us to read from her hand. I work at a facility so i know that the waitress and waiters should know what is being served. When the food came they got a few wrong so they switched them, but everyone had there steak cooked a different way. But what we saw was that the Bridal Party, Bride, and Groom were served last. They were all coming over drooling at our food because they were so hungry from missing part of the cocktail hour.
The appetizer/salad was the Tomato and Mozzarella which was really good, and the intermezzo was Lemon Sorbet which was also very good. The best part was the Viennese hour! They had so much. It had the wedding cake, triffle, apple pie, cherry pie, cheese cake, rice pudding, moose, fresh whipped cream, Some kind of berry pie, mini pastries, and much more and of course a sundae bar which was so good!
The grounds were so pretty, the ceremony was in the room that kind of looked like an old barn but it was really pretty. One thing I noticed was that the people in the back as soon as they got up the workers were already stacking up there chairs.
All in all I did like the wedding. I just thought it lacked a little service. maybe because I work in this industry I notice a lot of these things.
Oh the Band was City Sounds (i think that was the full name). They were allright. The music was way to loud and the bride had to ask them to lower it because it was so loud. I cant believe I can't remember there whole name because they must have said it 100 times throughout the night. .
Ok hope that helped
