Review--June 30th wedding at Bridgeview
Thank you to all of you ladies who offered your support and guidance during the very stressful wedding planning period. Your advice was so very valuable. I just want to share a quick review to help other future brides in their planning process.
Bridgeview Yacht Club--A+++++++++
I can not say enough positive things about this venue. I am so very happy that I booked this venue. I originally wanted to hold my wedding in a unique non catering hall venue, but when the reality of finances and stress associated with this type of wedding surfaced and I realized that I would have to book a hall, I knew BYC was the place to hold my wedding. I had been to a wedding in the smaller room the summer before and loved the food and ambiance. I couldn't find one negative review about the place and once I met Eric, the BM, I knew it was the place to hold my wedding, Eric is the most wonderful and pleasant person to work with. He is helpful, professional, easy going, and efficient. My day was completely stress free because of him and the staff at BYC. The food was abundant and delicious. I am still getting compliments from my guests about the food and how beautiful the place was. I made my own centerpieces out of vintage lamps and brought in a lot of vintage decor and the staff set everything up perfectly. I have not one single complaint about the reception hall or the staff at all. I want to be invited to a wedding there just so I can go there again.
Duet Photography and Videography--A+++++++++
I am a photography lover, but I also was on a tight budget for the wedding. Once I saw Duet's pictures, I booked them right away. Jay and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with. Jay is a true artist and his work is outstanding. He is fun and easy to work with and the team was non intrusive. They worked so hard the day of the wedding and got all of the photos on my must take list and more. I can not wait to see the pictures and I know they will be amazing because my engagement pictures were unreal. I also found the staff at Duet to be very accomodating and helpful. Oh by the way, their prices are VERY reasonable.
Even though I was on the fence about it, I booked the videographer. I am so glad I did. The day goes by so quickly and there is so much that I feel I missed. Having the video will be priceless. I ordered only the raw footage because my husband does free lance film editing and he will edit the video. If you are undertain about the video, do it, you wont regret it.
Body Rock- B-
They played most of what was on my suggestion list. However, they did not play the correct first dance song. They played a weird acoustic/live version of the song, which I had never heard. I really feel that they should have taken the time to ask me which version of the song I wanted when they saw that there was more than one version available. I didn't let it bother me that night, but I think it is a major error on their part. The dance floor was packed all night. The older generation hated the music, but you can't please everyone. They do not negotiate prices and I booked them because I had been to a wedding and thought they did a great job. They were mediocre at my wedding.
Sweet Peace--- B
This is BYC's house baker. Allsion is a really cool and down to earth girl. I did not really love the way my cake looked and wasn't crazy about the taste of it either. Many guests did tell me that the cake was absolutely delicious though, so, I think it is a matter of preference.
Creative Florist-- A
Doris is wonderful to work with. Very pleasant and easy going and very creative. My bouquet of peonies, lavender roses, and ostrich feathers was stunning. I loved the bouquets for my BMs and the flower wands she created for my FG's. I asked her to create trees to hang my bird shaped place cards in. The arrangement she created was exquisite. It was the first thing I saw when I entered Bridgeview and it took my breathe away.
These girls went above and beyond for us, not only on the day of the wedding, but throughout my planning. They are so sweet and accomodating. My family has been going to the salon for years and the girls who work there are all so talented. Nikki did my hair and she has done my hair for years. Nikki is not only the best stylist out there, but she is a sweetheart too. My hair looked so amazing that day. She even came to BYC to touch up my hair and she touched up the whole bridal party too. I absolutely love her. The salon is in North Bellmore.
Bridal Reflections Carle Place--A
Although they are pricey, they are good at what they do. My dress was absolutely beautiful. I made many changes to the dress and customized it and it looked perfect in the end.
Etsy Vendors--A++++++++++++
I purchased so much on Etsy for my wedding and each vendor's service was impeccable. I received my items in a timely manner and the vendors were so warm and kind. The most noteable are as follows:

For reasons I wont get into on here, this hotel is the worst. They are overpriced and unaccomodating.
