Review of Excellence Riviera Cancun
Excellence Riviera Cancun
Good:
The entertainment team is fantastic. They involve everyone who is interested in all of the activities.
The shows are fantastic and are definitely adults only ;)
Everything is catered to the honeymoon couple. Starting from the shows to the channels available on TV ;) Honeymooners get breakfast in bed, rose petals with dinner and in the room, a sash saying “Honeymooners”
The staff is fantastic. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel special and to remember each guest’s preferences (the waiters learned what I like to drink and how I like my food). Everyone tries to call the guests by name.
The breakfast buffet has a great variety and all of the food is for the health conscious.
Lunch at the Grill is delicious and consistently high quality.
The beds set up by the beach at night with the bar and the romantic music really set a great mood of romance and relaxation.
The rooms are beautiful. The shower is very big (built for 2). Each room comes with a balcony and all of the necessary amenities (toothbrush, hair comb, lotion, etc.)
Not so good:
Perhaps I’m spoiled by the New York restaurants, but the food (except breakfast) did not thrill me. The dinner food looked good, but did not taste superb.
When we got there, despite 2 calls made to the hotel and the travel agent, the resort did not know that we were honeymooners, so we did not get the amenities. I had to call the concierge 2 times to get all of the amenities (perhaps rose petals are not a big deal to all, but we are on our honeymoon only once!)
When we just got there, I unpacked a little, and when we came home from dinner that night, I found small ants all over my stuff! The staff did get rid of the bugs, but some still remained and I’m afraid even got into my suitcase. That was really gross.
In summary:
I definitely recommend this resort to other honeymooners!
