Review of my shower

THANK YOU TO marcela1654 for posting a review of my shower.

It was 2/28 and it wasn't a surprise since one of my BM's told me about it. It was at the Orchid in Garden City. I just want to say if someone is looking for a great place to have a rehearsal dinner or shower I would highly recommend it - in fact a couple of my guests had been there before for rehearsal dinners so they were happy to come back.

The food I think is the best chinese food on LI - I hope the girls on here enjoyed the food too.

My mom and the BM's did an amazing job with the shower and I can't thank them all enough. It was a perfect day for me.

We got a TON of gifts at the shower then I went home and had a ton more from my mother (who didn't want to bring it all to the shower) we got almost everything off of our registery!!!! I now have all my good china, and casual china, and all my appliances!!!!

As I mentioned before our cake was my father's gift to the shower - it came from St Honore in Port Washington - we are getting our wedding cake and grooms cake from them.

almost - just a few things - which are now missing so I think we are getting them as wedding gifts - everyone was VERY generous! I never expected to see NEARLY as much as I got I was very speechless when I got home

Congrats Christine....You looked liked you had an awesome time! I'm glad you had a wonderful day especially with all the BM drama you had.

Quick question...How did/are you gonna get all your gifts back to Michigan? Or do you plan to move back to NY after FH finishes school?

FH and I have been thinking about the gifts and how to get them to Chicago if people don't ship them through the registry. He is not looking forward to the thought of driving to Chicago from NY. And I don't like the idea of shipping for fear of stuff breaking.

lol we aren't my parents have a huge house and offered to keep it for a year if we stay longer we will just drive it out here - but I think we are moving in a year
