Review of One If By Land, Two If By Sea
I told some of you folks that I'd post a review of my dinner at One If By Land, Two If By Sea on Saturday night, so here goes!

The restaurant looks very unassuming from the outside... we actually walked right past it at first. But when we got inside, there was someone playing the piano and the whole place looked dark and romantic with lots of candles going. There was a fire in the fireplace, and someone immediately took our coats and led us to our table. Very very nice service.![]()
We ordered a bottle of wine (from a vineyard that visited on our honeymoon in CA!), which was great, but the wine prices were definitely jacked up. Of course all restaurants do this, but it was hard to find a bottle for under $40 (and since we've been to the vineyard, we know how much it really cost!)
Anyway, the wine came right away, and since we had already ordered our appetizers, they came right away too. We were surprised at how quickly the food came! I ordered the lobster medallions for my appetizer and they were EXQUISITE! They melted in my mouth. Perfect. Brian ordered the sea scallops which he enjoyed very much too.
For our entrees, Brian ordered the beef wellington (which they are famous for) and I ordered the rack of pork. Both entrees were FABULOUS!!! I couldn't finish my plate, but I wished I could have, it was so delicious!
For dessert I had the molten chocolate cake... I don't have to tell you it was incredible!! Brian had the chocolate crepes which he liked a lot too.
The check took a long time in coming, but it was nice to digest and absorb the atmosphere. No ghosts this time!!
All in all, it was definitely one of the BEST restaurants we've tried. The atmosphere was great, the service was friendly and sophisticated, and the food was to die for! It was expensive, but totally worth it for a special occasion (it wasn't one for us, but we were given a gift certificate as a wedding gift from Brian's co-workers).
One If By Land, Two If By Sea gets two thumbs WAY UP from these newlyweds!!!![]()
