Review of our dance lesson with Arthur Murray Dance School.

It was so much fun. There was a general Style class going on but we were in a private room. The instructor was fantastic. She made ups feel very comfortable. Gary is extremely shy and was so nervous about the class. He thought we would get yelled at and it would be hard. But the instructor (Her name is Ola) was so sweet.

We learned the three basic steps for the Fox Trot, Swing, and Merengue. Gary and I came home and practiced for a few minutes. It wasn't as difficult as either of us thought it would be.

So we signed up for a 10 lession package. That includes 6 private lessons, 4 group lessions, and 4 party pratice lessons. The cost was $595

Originally they had us for a 18 lesson package. That includes 10 private lessons, 4 group lessions, and 4 party pratice lessons. But, costing $995, we couldn't afford it. They gave us the option of upgrading to that package if we feel we need to.

So, my opinion is, if you can afford it, try it. Not only will it give you valuable tools for dancing that will last way beyond your wedding, it will bring you and FH closer. And it's fun.

I've done the 'free' lesson at Arthur Murray & we liked it but then it was a hard sell for one of the packages Cubanbride mentioned. A bit steep for us.

We ended up going (w/ my ex) to Queensborough College. For 10 lessons (maybe 8) it was about $175. for both of us. We learned & it was in a group of about 8 couples. We had fun.
