Review of Riviera ( from a co-worker of FH)

I did not go to the wedding myself it was FH co worker who went. Heres what he had to say:

The dinner was EXCELLENT he said. Also the selection at the bar was AWESOME!!

Before you read the rest plese note I am not sure how many guests were there. It sounds like ALOT!!

He said cocktail hour food was ok not bad at all, but not knock your socks off good either!

He said b/c the cocktail hour was inside it seemed a little crowded. During dinner he said it seemd awkward the way the waiters were serving teh food b/c the kitchen door is right off teh dance floor. However I think if you are having a small wedding which it seems alot of us are 120-140 that you can aviod this issue by having the waiters walk on to the carpeted area and around to serve the guest instead of th dance floor.

Belive me feloow Riviera bridesI wanted to hear a SPECTACULAr review as well but I am not disappointed because we can adrees these isues and hopefully have them better for our weddings. Any other questions fm me and any past riviera brides if yo have any suggestions please let us know. Thanks.

I posted a similar review after my FSILs wedding. (She had the maximum guests allowed, like 180 or so...TOO CROWDED!!!)

We found the cocktail area too crowded as well and the dance floor serving issue, I agreed with. I agree the food was ok, not the best. If you can have it outside, then do it, you can enjoy the view you are paying for and have more room!!!

Thanks for the review 04Bride!

We are hoping to have no more than 150....but now I'm worried that even that may be too much!!

I hope I didnt upset anybody, i am a riviera bride too and just want to tell people so that you can address these issues when you go there before your wedding day.

I think 150 should be ok. I think if you set up some tables on the dance floor with the bride and groom it shoud be ok.

That is why I posted it too.

My FSIL had tables on dance floor for adeius and like 20 bridal party people. I would opt for not if you can. JMO

With 150, we'll probably need to put 2 tables on a corner of the dance floor...but we are also hoping to have a very dance/music centered reception...*sigh*...maybe I should cut the invite list down some...

I was a Riviera bride.

My cocktail hour was inside due to the rain. I had about 120 people and it was still kind of crowded. Some people sat at their tables to eat.

Other than that, I had NO complaints at all!! And the fact that the kitchen was off the dance floor was not an issue. The waiters never crossed the dance floor at all.

People still rave about the food.

Good luck everyone!!
