Review of Saturday: Finalizing at Smithtown Landing, Rolling Pin Bakery, and Creative Florist!! UPDATE WITH CP PICS!!
Hey everyone!
Ben and I had a very productive Saturday! I will definitely post pictures when I get home, but for now:
Smithtown Landing Country Club:
What can I say! Wow! We finalized the menu with Donna and she was SOO helpful, and not only helpful but so creative - giving us the opportunity to do 3 extra fun things that I didn't think we could do!! They are so accomodating here and so friendly and it was a lovely afternoon sitting there with her and Rich (who was in and out, working on setting up a wedding for that evening.) We didn't want to leave! haha.
Also - must add that we saw the set-up in the Nissoquogue Room and Merrywood Cottage room and it looked AMAZING. 5 star!!! I am getting SO excited to have my wedding here!!!
Lastly, I have so many little things to set-up, etc. and was worried how it would all work out and she gave me this incredibly detailed 'homework packet' that made me SO confident that it will all turn out how I wish it would.
Rolling Pin Bakery:
Next stop of the day, was to finalize our cake with David at Rolling Pin Bakery. He was so sweet and relaxing to talk to as well. Kinda quiet spoken in a very patient way. He immediately offered us a blueberry scone and some coffee! While we were there, I described the idea I wanted and he said if I did it a certain way, I'd have to be charged extra, adn instead he actually helped me figure out a great way to do the cake that I liked even BETTER that I dont need to be charged for!!
This cake is gonna be boootiful and I can't wait to see it and shove some in FH's cute face.
Creative Florist - Doris is a gem!!
Last stop of the day was to go see Doris at Creative Florist to see our sample centerpiece and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND. There is nothing traditonal in this beautiful tall centerpiece and she got 3 different kinds of cabbage flowers sent in for me to pick from! I will post more when I get home so I can show you these pictures, but she is one of my favorite vendors!! We never thought we'd get some of the things we're getting and I feel like she really made my dreams come true!
Thank you so much for reading if you made it this far!
I will post pics of my favors with the tags put on, as well as pics of my centerpiece when I get home later!
UPDATE: PIcs of my CP's are in my flower ideas album! Couldn't get them to post on my mac. Sorry!!
