OK so my FH called this morning and we werent on the list of attendees. I call up, fix things and what do you know ...when I get there they say I am not on the list.
The receptionist was very helpful, got Charles (my BM) and he handled it but never addressed me or said hello
I am wondering if he comes and lurks here once in a while and knows that I am considering leaving VL for WM.
So there werent many vendors...probably about 20...my estimation may be off. Floral women were very helpful.
Fortunoffs was thereand I saw the girl that assisted me lastnight and she helped me with my registry questions.
Food was good. I always hear that it is fantastic. maybe I dont go to a lot of weddings...maybe I am comparing it to a home cooked meal. The service was good also...but no one around to fill my water even when I asked. I got to see the infamous MASHED POTATO BAR that my FH and I paid for. its cute but I dont know if it is worth the money. A lot of people passed by it looking and admiring but not trying...maybe they were all on a acarb free diet or something.
Go in for entertainment...Tommy Tunes. I know people love them but enough with the guido stuff. I already have them all over my neighborhood. Their bands I forget but I wasnt impressed.
One father said 'Its the brides day, is this guy trying show that he wants to be in the center of attention' about the DJ. I laughed and it did make me think.
All in all...to pay $10 for food...great deal.

i soooo know what you mean..cause that's exactly what i thought when i saw them perform at a showcase. i know at actual weddings and such, they are much more low key--but they have to ham it up for the showcases. but seriously--i LOL'd reading that comment

Re: Review of Villa Lombardis bridal showcase
I want to go to all the showcases...to see the RH and try the foods.
I didnt see any cake displays only 2 but that is probably because they create them there so they have a book of all their designs.
OK so OHEKA I think the 25 will be worth it. I heard that they include cocktail hour and Viennes hour
Flowerfield...do you have to be a bride there to go...does anyone know the price?
Sunset Harbor is in Patchogue. I dont know what I think of the place ...but its free to attend and they may have floral displays and more TOMMY TUNES Oh my poor ears.
Good to know that they arent that obnoxious at the weddings but I would never know that if i just saw them at a bridal showcase.

Flowerfield is free. It's advertised on their website so I don't think you need to be a client...

Re: Review of Villa Lombardis bridal showcase
I've never been to a showcase because I thought they were just for brides actually getting married at the place. But it seems like you girls are going to ones all over, so I guess I was wrong, and now I'm jealous and want to go. Do you think it would be worth it to go to some of these when I'm getting married in connecticut? To get ideas for flowers, menu ideas, and stuff? What do you think?
