Review of wedding last night - Temple Israel, Spitz and Peck, Scott Evans band

So I was at probably the most beauuuuuuuuutiful wedding I'll ever go to last night. Just have to say that the bride (my friend Melanie) looked incredible.

The wedding took place at Temple Israel in Lawrence, which is far and away the most beautiful temple I have ever been to. The woodwork, the stainglass windows, all gorgeous. The food was very good. I had the ribeye steak, as did most everyone around me. I think the other options were halibut and cornish game hen. Cocktail hour room was tremendous and very pretty.

The flowers were by Spitz and Peck and they were unbelievable. So tastefully done - they didn't take over the existing decor of the temple. Instead they complimented it.

The band was the Scott Evans band (I'm almost positive that was the name of it). They were a very talented band. I was nervous - this was my first band wedding and I've heard horror stories about how some bands can make you want to rip your ears off but they were very good. I'm still more of a dj girl, definitely provides a different kind of wedding, but they were very good.

I did take some pics, although mostly of people so I'll see if I have some of the flowers and the temple itself.

ETA: I think FH took the camera card to work today . When he gets home I'll go thru the pictures.

Sounds great!

Are you sure it wasn't Scott Evans Band? Thats the one I am using (the DJ). My sister used both, Scott Evans Band and Spitz and Peck at her wedding. Although there were some behind the scene troubles iwth the florist, everything came out beautiful.

Thank you!!! That's it, I'll change that now.

You know, that's funny. My best friend was a bridesmaid at this wedding so she was there for the behind-the-scenes stuff. When I commented on the flowers she said that Spitz and Peck had originally screwed up something with the centerpieces. You wouldn't have known but I think it did cause a small headache earlier in the day.
